Cervical cancer

Abstract
AimsWhat is the cervical cancer?
Today, cervical cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide known. Though its incidence has declined, there are still many cases of death from this pathology. Of 370,000, 190,000 women die each year.
Cervical cancer begins to develop in the cervix.
The development of cervical cancer is slow. Has three levels, the first one they call dysplasia, carcinoma in situ the second one and the third party is called a malignant carcinoma.
There are many factors that cause this disease: tobacco, contraceptives oral (estrogens), sex with multiple partners, because for this reason it increases the risk of contracting an infection, and the most common reason, the human papilloma virus (VHP).
Methods: There have been several studies with scientific arguments that have shown the incidence, causes and prevention of this disease, where the woman is the main character. Have tested various methods of prevention such as condoms and Pap. Also in the last year released a study showing that human papilloma virus was the main cause of this disease, but the estrogens are really important also.
Results: These studies have been very important for the advancement and understanding of this pathology. Thanks to these studies the incidence of this disease has decreased and women every day take more health conscious and go to prevention methods.
Conclusions: Know this disease is very interesting and important because midwives must contribute to improving the quality of life of women.
Keywords: Cervical cancer, Human papilloma virus, papanicolau.
